ORAPT Election

The Executive Council of ORAPT is looking for members interested in getting more involved with ORAPT. We have four positions up for election in this fiscal year. 

We typically have board meetings on the third Friday or third Monday of the month from 9-11 am. The meetings are usually held near downtown Portland. We do have teleconferencing capability if interested but live outside of Portland area. Please submit a short biography if you or know someone that is interested in joining the ORAPT Council to orapt.info@gmail.com by Wednesday, July 14

President - elect (1 position, 2 year term): Voting member of the Council. Duties include but not limited to Communicate with Association for Play Therapy (APT), welcome and monitor membership, preside over council meetings, make last minute decisions on behalf of the council, tie-breaking vote on matters of importance, second signer on ORAPT bank account, represent or appoint representative for the APT national conference, send at least 5 e-mail communications yearly with ORAPT members, monitor branch compliance, and apply for Gold Branch Award (if qualifies). current ORAPT membership is required.

Member-at-Large (2 positions, 1 year term): Voting member of the Council. Duties include but not limited to Assist Conference Coordinator at ORAPT conferences throughout the year. Develop and maintain social media outlets (i.e., Twitter and Facebook, website), and Support other Council Members as needed. current ORAPT membership is required.

Student member (1 position, 1 year term): Voting member of the Council. Duties include but not limited to Assist Conference Coordinator at ORAPT conferences throughout the year. Students in any graduate program wanting to learn more about play therapy are encouraged to apply. Preference will be given to ORAPT members.
